            • Definitely keeps the ticks off!

We used this on our 70 lb mixed breed and it worked great. No scent or skin irritation and we haven’t found any ticks on him, and it’s been a bad season. Definitely worth the money compared to doing frontline month. My pet is happy without the front line application either, that always irritated him.

            • Works well

WELL!! First of all, he had no bad reaction to it, thank goodnes!! And within a week of wearing it, he stopped 95% of the chewing and scratching. I was utterly amazed to say the least. It's now a month later, and he's 99.99% scratch free, and all his hair has regrown!! He's once again shiny and silky black, and a very happy pup!!!

            • Great against ticks

We always use these collars on our dogs as they work the best. We take our dogs camping and hiking and we live on a very buggy plot next to a marshy/wooded pond. So far in the last 10 years of using these, I haven’t seen ticks or fleas. This flea color truly works the best for my dog. No odor, no fleas and it really last the full 8 months if not a bit longer.

Top questions about Seresto® flea and tick collar for dogs

What are the benefits of Seresto?

Inside the unique polymer matrix of Seresto are two active ingredients:

              • Imidacloprid has been used in products for years to control flea infestations.
              • Flumethrin effectively repels and kills ticks.Flumethrin works together with imidacloprid to provide dual action against fleas and ticks. No other treatment has this combination of ingredients. The active ingredients spread from the site of direct contact over the skin surface of the cat or dog.*Sustained release technology*Seresto works similarly to a monthly topical, but as the active ingredients wear off over time, a new supply is continuously replenished in low concentrations. The active ingredients spread from the site of direct contact over the skin surface.Bayer's polymer matrix technology is designed to slowly and continuously release the active ingredients for eight months, a duration that makes it clearly different from other flea and tick collars.

              Is Seresto water resistant?

Seresto is water resistant. The active ingredients of Seresto are contained within the Bayer Polymer Matrix, making it water-resistant. Therefore it is unnecessary to remove the collar before the pet is immersed in water. Seresto remains effective following a shampoo treatment, swimming, or after exposure to rain or sunlight. Under normal conditions, effectiveness lasts for eight months. In order to maintain an 8-month duration, dogs must not be bathed more than once per month. For dogs that swim once a month or more, the control duration is reduced to five months for fleas and seven months for ticks.

What if my cat or small dog gets stuck while wearing a Seresto collar?

Because some pet owners may be concerned that a cat or small dog could get stuck while wearing a collar, Seresto is designed with a safety release mechanism. In the unlikely event of the cat being trapped, the cat's own strength is sufficient to widen the collar to allow for quick release.A hard pull causes the ratchet-release mechanism to allow a widening of the collar. The small dog and cat collars are equipped with a predetermined breaking point. A harder pull triggers the breaking of the collar at this point.

What is the expiration date for Seresto for dogs?

There is no expiration date required on the packaging by the EPA for this product. The product should be kept in its original packaging and stored as directed on the label.

When can I bathe my dog after application of Seresto for dogs?

We recommend bathing BEFORE applying product. Seresto is water-resistant and remains effective following a shampoo treatment, swimming or after exposure to rain or sunlight. Under normal conditions, effectiveness lasts for 8 months. In order to maintain an eight-month duration, dogs must not be bathed more than once per month. For dogs that swim once a month or more, the control duration is reduced to 5 months for flea control and reduced to 7 months for tick control. There is no need to remove the collar for bathing. Please use a non-stripping, pet shampoo.

How do I store and dispose of Seresto?

Do not contaminate water, food or feed by storage or disposal. Storage: Store in the original unopened container in a cool, dry place that is inaccessible to children. Disposal: Dispose of container, pouch and expired collar in trash.
